LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced
HIIT/CORE-60: we alternate between rounds of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and CORE. When the focus is HIIT, we work for short periods of time – as hard as possible – to spike the heart rate, rest, and then do it again. This alternating between efforts of max effort and complete recovery allows us to speed up our metabolism, burn fat, and gain lean muscle. When the focus is CORE, the heart rate remains buzzing but not spiking. Different muscle conditioning movement & patterns are used to mimic everyday life activities, helping to 3-dimentionally strengthen the muscles that support the spine. The format of HIIT/CORE-60 may change each week, but the focus remains these same two training concepts. This class is labeled as Intermediate to Advanced, but there are still lots of modifications throughout the workout for everyone to feel successful!
