Welcome to Boomers N Motion Chair Fitness Class!!!
Let’s have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance…all in the seated position! Yes, you really can get an awesome workout while sitting in a chair. Let me show you how! This chair-based class is appropriate for older adults and those looking to lessen the impact on their joints. All ages and skill levels are welcomed, as variations will be shown. Standing exercises may also be incorporated to improve balance and flexibility.
2 light hand weights – if you don’t have weights, soup cans or water bottles work great too!
water to drink – we’ll take a water break!
What to expect:
Chair aerobics – think “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” in a chair!
Strength training – building stronger muscles and bones
Stretching – to increase flexibility
…and lots and lots of fun!!!
