Let’s have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance…all in the seated position!   Yes, you really can get an awesome workout while sitting in a chair.  Let me show you how!  This chair-based class is appropriate for older adults and those looking to lessen the impact on their joints.  All ages and skill levels are welcomed, as variations will be shown.  Standing exercises may also be incorporated to improve balance and flexibility. 

You’ll need: 

2 light hand weights – if you don’t have weights, soup cans or water bottles work great too!

water to drink – we’ll take a water break!

Water break

Strength training – building stronger muscles and bones

Stretching – to increase flexibility

This class is designed for Beginners and Experienced Yogis alike. I will guide you so that you can begin to experience yoga in a different way: by focusing on your breath while creating a foundation in your body through core stability and alignment. My teaching style is conversational and laid back – I encourage you to ask questions during yoga class! Class will end with a longer resting pose to help you wind down from your day. My intention is that all yogis feel “zen’d out” yet strong at the end of class.

• Big/firm pillow
• Small blanket
